Fundraising for Rare Cancers Australia so that no one faces their cancer alone
In March 2025, we will be climbing 2,228 metres above sea level to reach Australia’s highest point to raise awareness and much needed funds for Australians diagnosed with rare, less common or complex cancers.
All funds raised will go to Rare Cancers Australia (RCA), a national charity on a mission to improve health outcomes, create equity and ensure no one faces their cancer alone.
People with rare and less common cancers simply don't have the same information, support and treatment options as people with more common cancers. Outcomes are poorer, out-of-pocket costs are higher, and a lack of information and support can leave people feeling lost and alone.
One hundred per cent of funds raised through the Kosi Challenge will go towards the important work of RCA's Patient Support Team. Sarah works at RCA and can vouch for the incredible and truly personalised support the navigators provide - they leave no stone unturned when supporting a family.
They help people to access specialists and treatments they otherwise couldn't, run support groups, connect people with others who have a similarly rare diagnosis, and provide financial assistance particularly in times of crisis.
We're tackling Kosi as a family impacted by cancer. We'll be walking in loving memory of Lesley and Cliff. And of all our family and friends who have been affected by rare and less common cancers and lost loved ones way too soon.
To really earn those funds, we'll be carrying a toddler and no doubt piggy backing a 4 year old!
RCA is a Federal Government-classified Health Promotion Charity. All donations over AU $2 are fully tax deductible.
Thank you so much for your support!
