The Kosi Challenge is an annual event hosted by Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) to raise awareness and vital funds for Australians diagnosed with rare, less common, or complex cancers.
In March 2025, OMICO (the Australian Genomic Cancer Medicine Centre) will join this incredible challenge, climbing 2,228 metres to reach the summit of Australia’s highest peak in support of The Kosi Challenge is an annual event hosted by Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) to raise awareness and vital funds for Australians diagnosed with rare, less common, or complex cancers.
At OMICO, we are transforming cancer care through our flagship program, PrOSPeCT—the Precision Oncology Screening Platform Enabling Clinical Trials. This initiative provides free genomic profiling to Australians with advanced and poor-prognosis cancers, linking patients to clinical trials for cutting-edge, targeted treatments. By advancing precision oncology, PrOSPeCT is not only improving lives but also cementing Australia’s position as a global leader in cancer research.
Funds raised through the Kosi Challenge will go directly to RCA’s Patient Support Team, helping patients and their families access life-changing support, including specialist care, treatment options, and financial assistance during difficult times. RCA’s work ensures that no Australian has to face cancer alone.
RCA is a Federal Government-classified Health Promotion Charity, and all donations over AU $2 are fully tax deductible.
