I am fundraising for Rare Cancer Australia

The Kosi Challenge is an annual event hosted by Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) to raise awareness and much needed funds for Australians diagnosed with a rare, less common or complex cancer each year.

On the 15th March 2025, whilst others are climbing Mt Kosciuszko, I will be walking 25km where I live on the stunning Gold Coast to help RCA.

One hundred per cent of funds raised through the Kosi Challenge goes towards the important work of RCA's Patient Support Team.

From helping patients to access specialists and treatments, through to delivering support groups, connecting people with services and providing financial assistance particularly in times of crisis, Patient Support is at the heart of what RCA does.

RCA is a Federal Government-classified Health Promotion Charity. All donations over AU $2 are fully tax deductible.

In Training!

I've been getting some steps in to help prepare for my Kosi Challange walk on the 15th March! 
Although technically, as part of the Virtual Challenge I could have walked 25km over the month of March, I wanted to set a goal that would be deserving of the real event, and I wanted to be in spirit with the MSD Mountaineers! So I am getting ready for a full 25km walk on the 15th March!
Special shout out to the Generous Kris Mcgrath who is going to walk with me.. It's going to be an amazing day! 

My Walking route! 25KM for Rare Cancers Australia

I am going to walk 25KM on the 15th Match from Paradise Point to the Spit then to Broadwater at the same time as my MSD Mountaineers team are climbing Kosi! 
Although this is a beautiful, mostly beach walk, I will be reflecting on those who have crossed my path who are living or have passed due to cancer. 
I believe all those going through a cancer journey should have access to the expertise they need. 
Groups like Rare Cancers Australia provide that expertise to many Australians and I am proud to walk to raise funds to support the amazing work they do.
